Pets are often our best friends and part of our families but unfortunately they can be the cause of accidents and odour within our home. Even the best-trained pet can have an accident from time to time.
Pet stains can damage your carpet and ruin your rugs and upholstery. Along with stains, odour is a common problem. The smell emitted from an accident area also often leads to repeat incidents in the same area until it is properly eliminated.
Removing the pet odours from your carpet such as urine can be a challenging and frustrating process.
Most pet owners have tried a few of those “magic” products that claim to eliminate pet stains and odour only to be disappointed.
Most store-bought odour and stain removers can do more harm than good as they need to be spread liberally on the carpet, which can make the stain worse due to over-saturation and also result in mould growth. This all creates an unhealthy indoor environment.
As with any stain, timing is critical. The longer a urine stain is on your carpet or lounge, the higher the risk of colour loss or permanent discoloration.
This is because Pet urine in the carpet penetrates the fibres and contaminates both the carpet and the floor underneath.
The longer an incident goes untreated, the more likely the urine odour is to permeate deeper into floors of the home. As the urine dries, the liquid evaporates but the urine crystals become even more concentrated and pungent. Ordinary cleaning will not remove this odour.
When urine soaks beneath the carpet to the underlay and the floor beneath, the pet odour, staining and saturation is considered to be multi-layered.
This level of urine contamination often requires a lot more steps than just ordinary, topside cleaning.
Pet Odour & Stain Removal Process
Not only is it difficult to deal with a pet urine accident once one has occurred but it’s also tough to know where past accidents may have taken place, including accidents you may not have even known about.
Using a special black light, we can detect pet accidents in your home and eliminate pet urine odours from your carpets, rugs and upholstery through our cleaning process.
- We inspect your carpets using black light technology. This light exposes any problem areas and odorous urine deposits that may not be visible to the naked eye.
- Then we use specifically formulated chemistry to break down molecules found deep in the carpet that are the source of the odours, reaching areas that typical cleaning products or process cannot reach. This destroys the odour causing bacteria at its source rather than just masking it.
- Next we rinse your carpet with our deep extraction cleaning process to remove any liquid or loose urine crystals.
We use a tool that can extract urine from your carpet underlay without removing the carpet.
Our process will remove approximately 90% of the urine and odour causing molecules without having to replace the underlay and carpet.
We are able to take care of most pet situations without carpet replacement.
At 2 The Max Carpet & Tile Cleaning, we are confident that we can improve, if not fully remove pet stains from your carpet and upholstery.
